Western electric Variac

Description

This sure looks like western electric, though I
don't see any metal tag that says that. Old fashioned wiring inside and the 'potentiomete' is 1930-40 vintage style  for sure. There is a transformer inside whose wiring goes to the turrets of the selector on the front.
